Chiropractic care chosen for your findings.

An adjustment should have a reason behind it. Dr. Koser looks at your symptoms, examination, posture and movement, then explains the approach he recommends and discusses your preferences.

Start with an examination and a conversation

Tell Dr. Koser where the symptoms start, how they behave and what happened with previous care. He connects that history with the examination to decide whether chiropractic care fits and whether further assessment would be useful.

We use chiropractic examination, digital posture and movement assessment, and on-site X-rays when they're appropriate. If you've been seeing a chiropractor elsewhere and are moving to Cleveland, tell us about that care too. Your history helps us understand where you're starting.

Chiropractic adjustments

A chiropractic adjustment uses the hands or an adjusting instrument to apply a controlled force to a joint. Dr. Koser chooses the approach based on your examination and discusses it with you before treatment.

We discuss the proposed technique, potential benefits, risks and alternatives before treatment. Temporary soreness can occur. Tell Dr. Koser about any concerns so you can make the decision together.

Exercise and movement support

What you do between visits matters. We may work on movement, strength or posture, depending on your examination and what you want to get back to doing. Discuss what you can do between visits and how any recommended treatment relates to your daily activities. Before your first appointment

  • Be ready to describe your symptoms, relevant medical history and current medications.
  • Bring existing imaging and reports, especially MRIs or CT scans from the past year, so Dr. Koser can compare previous findings with how you're doing now. Older X-rays are helpful too when looking at changes over time.
  • Tell us if you have concerns about a particular treatment technique.

Common questions

What can chiropractic care help with?

People commonly seek chiropractic care for headaches, back pain, neck pain and movement concerns. Chiropractic adjustments may offer modest improvements for some people with low back pain. Depending on your findings, your plan may also include corrective exercise, posture-focused exercise or non-surgical spinal decompression. Your symptoms and health history matter when deciding which options fit your care.

Do all adjustments involve cracking or twisting?

No. Dr. Koser prefers a Thompson-style adjustment using a drop table. A section of the table lifts slightly, then drops a short distance during the adjustment. He also uses an Activator-style adjusting tool that delivers a small, controlled impulse.

Dr. Koser also performs Diversified adjustments by hand. You may recognize that style from YouTube, although an office visit is a much more reserved affair. Tell him if you're uncomfortable with a technique so you can talk through the options.

Will I need X-rays?

Having an X-ray facility doesn't mean everyone needs imaging. The decision should follow your history and examination. Bring existing reports if you have them and ask why any new imaging is recommended.

How many visits will I need?

That depends on what's going on, your health and how you respond. Age and the severity and history of an injury can affect recovery, but age alone doesn't tell us how many visits someone needs. Kids can seem like tiny healing superheroes; that still isn't a reason to assume every child needs treatment or will recover quickly.

A mild ache after sneezing too hard is a different starting point from years of MMA injuries followed by a second career as a NASCAR crash-test dummy. If that second one sounds like you, we may get to know each other pretty well. We're not lizards: we can't regrow limbs, and treatment can't undo every injury.

We'll discuss an initial recommendation and reassess how you're doing. More visits aren't automatically better; your progress helps guide whether to continue, change the plan or seek another opinion.
