Good questions should lead to a clearer plan.

I want you to understand why I’m recommending something. That means explaining how your history, examination and the available evidence fit together, then paying attention to what happens as we work.

Research belongs beside your examination

Published research helps us understand what has been studied, what benefits were found and where the limits are. Your history and examination tell us which questions matter for you. I consider both when explaining a recommendation.

How that looks in the clinic

I’ve spent roughly a decade investing my own time and money in learning, refining my assessment and following what happens in the clinic. That experience shapes the questions I ask and the way I individualize care. It is clinical experience, not a published trial or independent proof that an approach works.

Exercise has several influences

Our Muscle Balance program brings together posture-focused work, customized McGill-based low-back exercises and cervical strength and control. We select a starting point from your assessment, then use phase requirements and your response to guide progression.

Personal experience has a different role

My own injuries are part of why I take back and nerve symptoms personally. They explain my interest in decompression and exercise. Your history and response will be your own, so I’ll explain what we’re looking for and reassess as we go.

Questions you can ask

What findings support this option? What alternatives should I consider? What improvement are we looking for? What would make us change the plan? Bring these questions to your evaluation; you do not need to decide on a treatment before you arrive.
